Room is directed by Lenny Abrahamson (Frank) and based on the novel by Emma Donahue. Out now on Blu-Ray and DVD, the film was nominated for four Academy Awards, with Brie Larson winning Best Actress.

Brie Larson stars as Ma and Jacob Trembley plays her 5-year-old son Jack. They both live confined to a single room. Windowless apart from a skylight; the dark, dank environment is both their home and prison. Without even a single candle to illuminate his  humble birthday cake, Jack's bed resides inside a cramped wardrobe. Harry Potter's bed under the stairs seems luxurious in comparison.

With no comprehension of the world outside their room, Jack is in disbelief when told of the oceans, a sky bigger than the small window in the ceiling, other people and even animals being real. His only experience is from a tiny TV; their only form of escapism.

Before long, we discover the chilling cause of their confinement. Ma has tried to escape before with no success, but she must if Jack is to have any sort of live outside of those four walls...

The cast also includes Sean Bridgers, Joan Allen, William H. Macy and Amanda Brugel.

Room is a tense, gripping and incredibly moving drama with unforgettable performances from both Larson and Trembley. A story of survival and an unbreakable bond between mother and child - it's a must see.

Extras include an Audio Commentary with director Lenny Abrahamson, cinematographer Danny Cohen, editor Nathan Nugent and production designer Ethan Tobman. The disc also includes 7 featurettes with the cast and crew.
