Insidious: Chapter 2

From the makers of Paranormal Activity, Insidious grossed more than £50 million from a £2 million budget when it was released in 2010. 2013 sees the release of the sequel ‘Insidious: Chapter 2’ which follows up with the Lambert family still dealing with the paranormal events of their son, Dalton (who could remove his spirit from his body and be in a world called The Further) leaving many mysteries and questions unresolved.

Director and writer James Wan (The Conjuring, Saw and the upcoming Fast and Furious 7) returns along with cast members Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne and Ty Simpkins. The dark and thrilling feel of the original returns as the Lambert family seek help from Ghost hunters to go into The Further’ and retrieve their sons spirit back from the Bride in Black.

With longstanding mysteries finally revealed, Insidious: Chapter 2 is a fast paced thriller (though never especially scary) that continues the storyline well into a potential third.
