The original Broadway production of Annie inspired the beloved movie with Aileen Quinn in 1982, along with a remake in 2014 starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz. The latest production comes to the Southampton Mayflower until 1st August.

Annie (Isabella Pappas) is an 11-year-old orphan, determined to find her real parents. Living under the tyrannical, alcohol-fuelled rule of Miss Hannigan (Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood), she does her best to stay positive and see the good in people. When Grace Farrell (Holly Dale Spencer) comes to visit the orphanage, one lucky child is invited to spend Christmas with billionaire Oliver Warbucks (Alex Bourne). Annie is chosen and just when her hard knock life seems to finally be improving, Miss Hannigan hatches a dastardly plot...

Classic songs such as 'You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile', 'Easy Street' and 'You Won't Be An Orphan For Long' will have you tapping your feet throughout. Isabella Pappas sung her heart out during the iconic 'Tomorrow', earning a rapturous applause.

Madeleine Haynes and Sophia Pettit also play the starring role in other performances, alongside Annie's trusty dog Amber (Sandy). The entire cast are fantastic throughout, taking you back to 1930s New York in energetic and authentic style.

Annie is an enchanting rags to riches fairytale for the entire family. Uplifting and heartwarming, you will definitely leave the theatre fully dressed with a smile.
